Harvested in the early morning to preserve freshness, the grapes were whole-cluster pressed and cold-settled before fermentation in a mix of French oak and stainless steel. Aging on lees for seven months adds texture and mid-palate weight, while maintaining the wine’s bright acidity and fruit purity.

The 2023 Napa Valley growing season was long and moderate, allowing for even ripening and balanced fruit development. Careful vineyard management ensured concentration and quality, resulting in a wine with both freshness and depth.

THE LAND

POPE VALLEY

Set along Napa Valley’s eastern edge, the Cervantes estate spans a vast, untamed landscape where elevation, exposure, and volcanic soils converge. This is a quieter side of Napa - less traveled, more demanding, and uniquely capable of producing wines with both power and restraint. Farming here requires intention. The result is fruit of exceptional concentration and character, shaped as much by the terrain as by the decisions made within it.

Guided by acclaimed winemaker Andy Erickson, the approach is both disciplined and intuitive. Each lot is handled with care, allowing the vineyard to speak while refining structure, balance, and longevity. The goal is not excess, but precision - wines that evolve beautifully over time while remaining compelling in their youth.
